DOUBLY SUBSCRIBED.
NEW ZEALAND LOAN. SUM OF £10,000,000 OFFERED. TERMS CONSIDERED EXCELLENT. [bx telegraph—press association.] WELLINGTON. Wedneedar. The Prime Minister lias received a cablegram dated April 25, advising him of the following details in regard to the Dotation of the New Zealand loan of .€5.000 000 at 5 per tent. :- "The list closed this morning, the total subscriptions being £10,000,000. Altogether 5000 applications were rereived. Those up to £1000 were allotted in full, and lira remainder were allotted 40 per cent. Press comments consider the terms excellent for the Dominion, and as a result war loan colonial 6tock prices have much appreciated." Mr. Massey said he had no further statement to make in regard to the loan. He expressed great satisfaction at its having been subscribed twice over, but in rep'y to a suggestion that it was a pity ho could not have taken the whole £10.000,000 he declared that would have been suicidal.
