LABOUR DISSENSION. OLD MEMBER EXPELLED. A, and N.Z. SYDNEY, April 8. The executive of the Australian Labour Party expelled Mr. J. ML Catte, who has been a Labour member for 16 years, and was formerly New South Wales Minister for Labour, by 18 to 13, after a stormy meeting. No official explanation is offered, but it is generally believed that the action was prompted by a candid article by Mr. Catts in a Sunday newspaper, in which he endeavoured to fix the blame for the present Labour defeat on the executive. It is officially, stated that members ot the Catholic Federation and of the Loyal Orange Lodge are ineligible to join tho Labour movement.
