NEGOTIATIONS TO CONTINUE A. and N-Z.-Eeuter. LONDON. March 24.

The ballot of shipbuilding engineering workers resulted in 49.603 voting for acceptance of the employers' demands and 164,759 against. Tho result will probably be a lockout of all the unions in bulk.

A later, report states that the situation is more hopeful. The employers and the unions have agreed to resume negotiations on Monday and lockout notices will probably be withdrawn while negotiations proceed.
