CARTERS' ANNUAL PICNIC.

.—, <>—I , The Auckland carters' annua! picnic was held at Motutapn on Saturday. A large number of men, with their families and friends, attended, two ferry steamers, one of which made an extra trip, taking the picnickers across the harbour. Sports and games piovided enjoyment for all, and a large number of prizes and gifts were distributed to the children. The Auckland Pipe Band and the Ponsonby Boys' Bawl rendered musical selections during the day.
