FARMER FOUND SHOT.
DIES IN THE HOSPITAL. [by telegraph.-press association,] PALMERSTON NORTH. Sunday. William John Port, aged 50 year 9, a farmer of Awahuri, who was removed to the Palmerston North Hospital on Friday evening with a bullet wound in the head, died early this morning. He was found lying on the floor of a whare near his house by wb of the occupants of the house on investigating, after hearing the report of the rifle. The deceased had been to Fsilding during the day, and appeared I in his usual state of health. | — I
