AGAINST PROHIBITION.
CAMPAIGN IN AMERICA. VANCOUVER, March 1. Thirty anti-prohibition organisation 8 have launched a combined drive to restore light wines and beer in the United Stales, says an announcement, by Mr. Anderson, superintendent .ot the AntiSaloon League. Tho idea, is to make wine and beer the main issue of American politics in the Congressional elections next November. Othep indications that an offensive has been launched include the fact that tho American Federation of Labour has issued a statement favouring the modification of the " Dry" Law. Borne advocates of the bonus for exsoldiers suggest paying it by taxing wine anil beer.
