FIRE IN CHICAGO.

CENTRAL BLOCK DESTROYED.

ONE FIREMAN KILLED. A. and N.Z. CHICAGO, March 15. Fire destroyed an entire block of buildings in the central business district. Tho damage is estimated at 10,000,000 dollars. One fireman was killed and several wero injured. The fire is believed to be of incendiary origin. It started in the Schiff Company s candy store. Threatening letters had been received from a former employee, who has been arrested.
