TIRTSCHKE MURDER CASE.

APPEAL BY ROSS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 9.35 p.m.) MELBOURNE. March 15. At the Criminal Appeal Court the application of Colin Campbell Ross, who is under sentence of death for the murder of a 12-year-old child, Alma Tirtschke, for a rehearing commenced to-day. The chief grounds of the application are that the Judge should have instructed" the jury that it was possible to return a verdict of manslaughter, and should have uttered a warning as to the dangerous and suspicious nature of tome of the evidence.
