NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL.

OPENING BY MINISTER.

[bt telegraph.—press association.] PALMERSTON NORTH, Wednesday.

The Minister for Education, the Hon. C. J. Parr, opened the new central primary school at Palmerstbn North yesterday. Mr. Parr said the main school cost £33,000, and the detached infant department, opened some months ago, £18,000, and was the most modern primary school in the Dominion. Later, Mr. Parr spened a memorial library at the Boys' High School, and in the evening was entertained by the combined School Committees and teachers.
