Lady Cook said the gifte carried the constant; homage, love, and good wishes of Australians. Princess Mary replied that she was cepsible of the great kindness of Austra- J liau ladies resident in London, and would j treasure the rug so •characteristic of .Australia, and also the jewel case, as very piessing souvenirs.
