EDUCATION GAZETTE

[by telegraph.—peess association.] WELLINGTON, Friday. The Minister for Education, Hon. C. J. Parr, interviewed in regard to the Education Gazette, which the Government considered withdrawing, said' there had been a misunderstanding. The Cabinet never decided to withdraw the gazette, Mr. Massey put through the Education Supplementary Esdimates in the unavoidable absence of the speaker, and it appears that a member objected to the item. Mr. Massey replied that he believed the Gabinet had discontinued the gazette, meaning the health journal. -. Mr. Parr said had he been present in the House the misapprehension would not have occurred. The gazette will go on. The cost has been reduced to less than £300 pes mnuflfr
