(BX IELEQBiPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.) TB KUITI, Tuesday. George Abbiss, a young man employed at Breadenbeck's quarry at Mahoenui, met with a painful accident yesterday. He had just unloaded a truck of shingle, and while tilting tho truck back to its upright position found he could only get it about half-way, when the gear jammed. Ho looked under the truck to soe what the trouble was, and at/ that moment the gear became, disconnected and the iron edge of the truck crashed on to his head, He was taken to Te Kuiti, whero medical examination disclosed an ugly Tyound about sin. long, stretching from the forehead to the left ear, and necessitating numerous stitches.
