QUESTION OF FEES.

Tli© Auckland Hospital Board mot last evening, the members present being: Messrs. W. Wallace (chairman), F. Dye, J, D, Chalmers, E. H. Potter, J. 'Bowe, M. J. Coyle, S. J. Harbutt, L. H. Bagnail, G, Knight, and M. J. Savage. A letter was received from the Otago Hospital Board, suggesting that a conference of the four principal boards be held to discuss the matter of framing a New Zealand Hospital Boards Association. The board agreed with th® proposal, and the arranging of the time and place was referred to the chairmaa, with power to act. The Fees Committee recommended that unrecoverable fees totalling £21,610 be written off. A suggestion' that fees be not less than the actual cost of maintenance of patients was referred to the Finance Committee for report. .
