RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION.

Evidence of the manner in which the Turkish Nationalists are observing the provisions of the Franco-Turkish Treaty is afforded by a decree of the Nationalist Minister for Religion forbidding the inhabitants of Asia Minor to have any re : lations with the Greek patriarch at Constantinople under penalty of death.
