The Katoa's departure for Whangarei to load cement has been postponed until 8 P-m, to-day, She is due back at Auckland on i ndav morning and will sail in the evening for Southern port 3. The Wainina left Port Kembla at 3 pan. pn Wednesday [or Melbourne, where she will load for Saa Francisco. She is expected to leave Melbourne on Friday. Captain Dryden has resumed command of the Arahara. relieving Captain Bilton. who has com<i ashore for orders. The barquentine Laura, with a cargo of timber from Auckland and Awanui, arrived at Sydney yesterday. The Kaiwarra arrived at Newcastle from Auckland and Whangarei yesterday. The Colonial Sugar Company's steamer Rona left Newcastle for Auckland yesterday and is due here at the end of the week. The Rakanoa, after being cleaned and painted, came out of dock yesterday morning and was berthed at the Hobson Wharf. She is to be recommissioned, but hef movements are ainwjrtain. H.M.S. Veronica, was docked yesterday rooming for cleaning *fnd painting. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Opawa is expected to complete loading at the Queen's Wharf and to sail for London on Friday. The v Arahura is timed to sail for Giloorne and Napier at 3 p.m to-day. She is due back at Auckland on Sunday. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ruapehu, which is discharging cargo from England and also loading produce at the Queen's Wharf, is expected to sail on Saturday for Gisborne and Wellington to complote loading. THE CANADIAN SPINNER. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Si inner left New York on January 31 tor Auckland. Wellington, Dunodin. Blu'\ and Australia. She is due here about March 10. R.M.S. TAHITI. ~ The R.M.S. Tahiti, en route from Wei- . fengton, arrived at Papeete at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. She sailed again at 1 p.m. on the following day and should reach San Francisco next Monday. THE NEW STEAMER TEKOA. The New Zealand Shipping Company's lew steamer Tekoa will leave the west coast of the United Kingdom on Jfarcn 25 on her maiden voyage. She will bring ctrgo for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Tekoa was launched last September and was delivered to her owners this month. NIAGARA SAILS NOON TO-MORKOW. The R.M.S. Niagara arrived from Sydney at'S.&.m. yesterday and, after medical inspection in the stream, berthed at the Queen's Wharf shortly after 10 a.m. Sne left Sydney at 2 am. on Thursday and had a somewhat rough passage across the Ta3man Sea, resulting in her late arrival at Auckland. Ten hours after she left oort she ran into an easterly gale and rough sea, ajainst which she had to steam until roundine the North Cftpe on Monday afternoon. She was pitching somewhat heavily with the head sea and continually shipped heavy splay. She had 504 passengers, of whom 230 were for Auckland and the remainder for way poHs Bnd Vancouver. Owing to hor late arrival the Niagara's departure for Vancouver has been postponed until noon tomorrow. In consequence mails to be deepatched by her close tomorrow morning.

THE WEST COAST SERVICE. The Rarawa will leave Now Plymouih at 5 p.m. to-day and is due at Onehnnga at 8 a.m. to-morrow, Sho will sail in the afternoon for New Plymouth and Wellington. The Rimu is to come to Auckland for overhaul and dookins. She will leave One* hunga on Thursday for Auckland, via Hokianga nnd leavo Auckland about March 1 for Onehnnga, via Hokianga. From Onehunga she will resume running to Raglan una E&whia on March 6,

ATHENIC AT WELLINGTON. Tho Shaw. Savill nnd Albion steamer Athenic arrived at Wellington from Southampton with passengers and cargo at 3 a.m. yesterday. Advice received at Auckland by L. D. Nathan, Ltd., tho locnl agents, stated that she waa to berth at 5 p.m. yesterday, and tho Auckland passengers would leave Wellington by a special train at 2 p.m. to-day, arriving here at 7.50 a.m. to-morrow. After dirchardng the Wellington portion of her cargo the vessel will come to Auckland to dischargo tho remainder and also load cargo for England.

CITY OF HANKOW DUE. The A. and A. steamer City of Hankow, which is coming to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping; Company, is due from I New York at 5 a.m. to-day. She will berth j at tho King s Wharf.

WINGATUI POSTPONED. The departure of the Wingatui for Wellington. Lyttelton. Dunedin, Bluff, Oamaru, and Timaru has been postponed until 3 p.m. to-day.
