J.C.L. STAFF PICNIC.

Ideal weather prevailed for the J.O.L. staff's annual picnic to Cowes Bay on Saturday. About 600 availed themselves of the outing, which proved most enjoyable, the Wakatere conveying them to the picturesque resort. Orchestral music was provided. Keen interest was taken in all sport events, controlled ably by the directors of the firm, headed by Mr. John Court, sen., numerous prizes being awarded. Sweets and toys were distributed among the young folk._ Cinematograph pictures of various interesting items were taken, and will be screened at a local picture theatre this week.
