TAURANGA NEWS.
[by mzanAPH.—own correspondent.] TAUBANGA, Monday. A meeting of the recently appointed Committee set up for the purpose of promoting tourist traffic between Rotorua and Taurang'a was held to-day. It was decided that the name of the organisation be the Tauranga Tourist Traffic League. In the Baker Cup cricket competition the United and City dubs have each icored 11 points. United, however, has played one more match than City. Colts have scored 5 points and Mount 3. The club championship games in connection with the local bowling club have advanced another stage. The following hav« now been drawn to play against each other in the respective grades:•—A grade: Torrance v. Hammond, Guinness v. Snelgrove, Gilford v. Woollams, Crowley v. Munro. B grade: Kingdon v. l)ivo, Dumbell v. Brans, Teasy v. R. J. McCarthy, Parnham v. H. H. McCarthy. The queen-rearing apiary at the Horticultural Station has experienced a successful season. The sales show a substantial advance on last season.
