FARMER'S BANKRUPTCY.
SEQUEL TO A JUDGMENT. TROUBLE OVER' AN EXCHANGE. A petition in bankruptcy has been filed by John Dolphin, farmer, of Avondale, who has submitted a statement of his assets, and liabilities to the official assignee. . The amount owing to unsecured creditors is shown as £3938 16s 3d, and to secured creditors £3450. The total available assets are shown at £1761, Jeaving a deficiency of £217716s 3d, The bankrupt states that i:a July, 1919, he had £300, and with a partner bought a property of 451 acres at Otorohanga at £12 an acre. They paid £460 down, and later paid another £100. In July, 1920, they exchanged the property for one at Avondale.
