POLICE COURT NEWS.
TWO ADMISSIONS OF THEFT.
ONE MAN IMPRISONED. A short sitting of the Polico Court S was held on Saturday, before Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., and Mr. A. O. Considino, J.P., of Mastorton. A charge of stealing £2 10s belonging to* John Bellinger was admitted by a young man, Lionel John Nash, who said he hud been unable to obtain work and intended to pay the money back. The police stated that accused had recently been convicted of theft at Huntly. A sentence of one month's imprisonment was" imposed. When charged with stealing a razor a.nd other property valued at £1 18s 6d, belonging to Donald Sutherland, at Waitakere, Joseph Butler pleaded guilty, but stated that he took the things because Sutherland had retained some money 'owing to him. The accused was discharged under section 92 of the JasKices of the Peace Act.
