THE CRIMINAL SITTINGS.

ACCUSED MAN MISSING.

Tho criminal sittings of tho Auckland Supreme Court were continued yesterday, Mr. Justice Stringer bearing charges in the downstairs Court, and Mr. Justice. Herdman in the upper Courtroom. Two cases were heard by the first-named. In ono, two young men were charged with conspiracy to defraud. One of them, Arthur Collin Larkin, was found guilty, while the other, Percy Broadhurst, did not givo himself up, and application was made for the estreatment of his bail. On a charge of indotcnt assault Norman James Walsh was found guilty and sentenced to three years' imprisonment. Mr. V. R. Meredith conducted tho prosecutions. Before Mr. Justice Herdman, the cm against William Snolling, charged with forgery and false pretences was completed, a conviction being recorded and sentence deferred. On a charge of indecent assault, John George Fitzpatrick was acquitted. Mr. S. L. Paterson appeared lor the Crown in both cases.
