(Reed. 5.45 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 16. The Anglo-Saxon Club gave a dinner in honour of Sir Joseph Cook, High Commissioner for Australia. General Sir Aylmer Funtrr Weston, who presided, credited the Australians under General Monash with smashing the German advanco at Villors Bretonneux in March, 1918. The line, he said, was bent, but never broken. Sii' J. Cook, dealing with the post-war situation, said that Australians were "grousing" quite as much as Britons, although with less reason. He cited as evidence of the stability of ,the British race that while every other country had 'changed its Government since the war, the Australian, New Zealand and British I Ministers remained.
