LOCAL BODY LOANS.
[BY TELEORAPH.—PRESB . ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Thursday.
An Order-in-Council prescribes 36J years as the term for which the Napier Borough Council may borrow £50,000 for the construction of sewage waterworks. The following maximum rates of interest for local body loans are prescribed:—? per cent., Now Plymouth Bonm<;h Council loan £142,000 for repayment of maturing loans; 6J per cert., New Plymouth Borough Council, £59,300 for addition to electric light power works.
