The first meat producers' board to control tho operations of the proposed pool will be selected by the producers', comroittco and the unofficial Parliamentary committer when they meet in Wellington on February 27. This statement was made by the Prime Minister to-day. It is intended that a new board, to be elected next year, shall be more directly representative of the whole body of producers. The speedv constitution of the first board, which has to make tho preliminary arrangements for the pool, is considered to be important. The producers' committee was selected by the conference of producers in VVeh lington early last month. It consists of 14 members, sevon from each island. Tho names of these members are as follows North Island: Messrs. W. J. Poison (VVanganui), J, S. Jessep (VVairoa), W. Perry (Masterton), T. A. Duncan (Huntervillo), H. B. Williams (Gisborne), G. Pearce (Taranaki), and A. E. Harding (Dargaville), South Island: Messrs. J. Begg (Otago), A. J. Murray (Kaikoura), J. C. N. Grigg (Ashburtonj, E. Bowman (Southland), J. 0. Coop (Akaroa), D. G. Wright (Canterbury), aald E. P. Burberry (North Canterbury), 'l'ho unofficial 'Parliamentary committee [Comprises Messrs. D, Jones (Kaiapoi), who is chairman of the combined committee, A. D, McLeod (Wairarapa) 0. J. Hawken (Egmont), W. S. Glonn (Rangitik'ei), and A. Hamilton (Awarua).
