SWIMMING.
MOUNT EDEN LADIES' CLUB. The first meeting o£ the newly-constituted Mount Eden Amateur Ladies' Swimming Club was held last evening. There was a vory good attendance, g:vmg promise of a successlul opening season. The following officers were elected: — Patron Mrs. G. L. Taylor: president, Mrs. E H. Potter; chairman, Mr. A. J. I'ornandez; honorary secretary and treamrer Miss M Head; committee, Mrs. C. G. Kichardsoil, and Misses I. Kite, I Rankin. F. Douglas, I. Cummings. P. Curnmings, B. Rankin I. Garrett, and Hall. The appointment of vice-presidents was left to the committee A carnival will probably be organised by the club shortly.
