RADICAL CHANGE in FERTILISER and SEED TRADE. ummiimmmammmmmmmmmmmmmammmmammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmammmmmt^ To meet the PRIME NEED of FARMERS for LOWER COSTS we have determined to RE-MODEL our METHODS of DOING BUSINESS. This step will enable us to offer an ALTERNATIVE CASH or CREDIT SYSTEM under which each purchaser will PAY for JUST WHAT HE GETS, whether It be GOODS or ACCOMMODATION. HENCEFORTH: (1) We will do without Travellers, and enable clients to save, by use of a twopenny stamp, the 10/- a ton on manures, and over a penny a pound on seed, which it cost to secure business by this means. (2) We will Separate (a) the actual COST of MANURE and SEED from (4) the COST of ACCOMMODATION as imposed by the CREDIT SYSTEM. The COST of BAD DEBTS, cost of COLLECTING ACCOUNTS, and LOSS of INTEREST on outstanding accounts has averaged 8/- a ton on ALL MANURE SOLD and a proportionate amount on seed. These costs ADD NOTHING to the VALUE of the GOODS, but they DO ADD CONSIDERABLY TO THE PRICE. These charges hitherto have been SPREAD OVER ALL USERS of manure and seed. Thus every farmer in paying his account has paid for the traveller calling on him, has contributed a percentage to the Bad Debts of others and has helped pay for his neighbour's outstanding account This method IS NOT RIGHT or FAIR and is NOW TO BE ALTERED.
