The Government meteorologist reported last night as follows:—Present indications are for a general' ohange of weather conditions, strong northerly winds ruling, and north and north-westerlies to southwesterlios in and southward of Cook Strait. Expect cloudy unsettled weather with rain following generally. The barometer is falling everywhere, but probably rising shortly in the South'.

MR. C. L. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge, at 8 o clock last ovening:—Antarctic lowpressure waves are now enveloping the South Island and will probably extend northward over the central districts of the North Island later. In these circumstances, fair but cloudy weather is likely in the North, and unsettled conditions with passing rain and intervals of clearing sky south from Taranaki and Poverty Bay. Winds between north-east and north-west. Sea inclined to rise south from Cape Farewell. The great sunstorm is now about central on the solar disc, and-this remarkable solar activity at this period is considered quite abnormal.
