ALLIED VICTORY MEDAL.
DISTRIBUTION IN PROGRESS. [by telegraph.—PßESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Saturday.
About 80,000 Allied Victory medals have to be distributed. Up to the prosent 1200 have been sent out from Defence headquarters. Contrary to the procedure adopted in [the case of the British War Medal tho Victory medals are being issued to those entitled to them in ievorsod alphabetical order. Most of tho medals'will have been engraved and despatched by the end of July. Some little delay may occur in the distribution of the medals to the next-of-kin of deceased soldiers, as full inquiries have to be made in all cases where men have been reported killed.
