TO-DAY'S FORECAST. GOVERNMENT REPORT. Present indications are for strong and variable winds, with westerlies predominating; squally at times, in and southward of Cook Strait. Unsettled, cloudy, and misty weather may. be expected, with rain following generally. The barometer iB unsteady, with a falling tendency. MR. 0. I. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. Tho following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 7.30 p.m. yesterday:—lndications point to showery and unsettled conditions in the South, probably extending northward later. Meantime moderately high pressure should cause fair to cloudy weather_ over the Hawke's Bay and Auckland proybces, with a likelihood of occasional rain between Waikato and Taupo. Winds,variable, chiefly between north-west and south-west. Seas choppy south of Cape Egraont.
