Tho Minister for Agriculture and the Director-General of hi* department «ere not aware until the matter was mentioned to them today that tho farm .chool for teacher* was not to be held »l Kwkura 1 explained that it was a matter between the Education Department and the Auckland Board of Ldacation, and he presumed the school bad been suspended as part of the economy campaign. Personally he regretted very much „hat the teachers were not to have tho advantage of the instruction they hitterto had obtained at tho school, and he had no doubt bis colleague the Minister for Edu cation did the same. But at the present time even- pound of expenditure had to bo ,-ery carefully considered. A reference to tho Laucation Department confirmed tho statement made bv a r NoßWorthy? Tho school was no being beld on account of the expenditure it would involve, but the Minuter hoped that next year it would be possible to resume the' course of instruction.
