FOUR SHOPS BURNED.
PALMERSTON NORTH FIRE. [BY TEIXGRAPH.—rRESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON NORTH, Wednesday. Fire shortly after midnight gutted four shops, the property of Mr. Henry Doreen, in Main Street West. The shops were occupied by Mr. Gray (butcher), Mr. Ricketts (tobacconist), Wong Shun (fruiterer), and Joe Lee (laundryman). The contents were destroyed. The occupants are heavy losers.
