NEW ZEALAND'S POSITION. EXCLUSION MOOTED. Australian and N-Z. Cable Association. (Becd. 12.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 31. Mr. H. C. Lodge and the Republican Leaders have decided not to accept any reservations to the Pacific Treaty in the Senate, declaring that no reservations are necessary. The situation arising out of the different interpretations given by the President and the Administration will be fully met in discussion. There is some expectation that i? the Japanese homeland is excluded from the treaty by arrangement before the treaty is put to the Senate reservations will be offered excluding Australia and New Zealand.
