OFFICIAL INVESTIGATION. [ft TELEOBAPH.—OWN CORfiESPONDEHT. } HAMILTON. Fndty. Following upon a deputation of the Dairy Fanners' Union to the Prime Minister, the Valuer-General has written to Mr. A. E. Fear, organiser of the union, that in view of the desirability of expediting hia inquiry concernisg cases of financially-embarrassed mortgagors and farmers who, were stated to have left their farms in consequence of financial embarrassments, the Valuer-Genera! was prepared to visit Te Awainutu on January 5, and also other centres if neceetary, anil confer with members of the deputation and settlers interested. Evidence will be taken in Tc Awamutu, Hamilton, Te Arciiu, MatamaU, and Te KuiU.
