WAIPA RACING CLUB, MEETING AT TE AWAMUTU., The annual race mosting to bo held at Te Awamutu to-morrow by 'be Waipa Racing Club promise* to be one of the most noteworthy gatherings to bo held on the Waikato ground. The acceptances received for the various ovents are most satisfactory, and should ensure a capital day's spoil Arrangements have been made for a special train from Auckland at 6.20 a.m.. which will pick up passengen at intermediate stations and return immediately after the conclusion of the racing. Bright this week effected the purchase of the. two-year-old Punch Iby Martian- Bonny Rigp) and tho six-year-old Canzonet (by Bezonian—Dirgel, and the two geldings were shipped to Sydney by the Manuka, en route to their new homo. Mr Bright also bought two yearling fillies from Mr. G. L. Stead on account of the same owner.
