Wednesday, > Following the request of a deputation," representing the Morrinsville War Memorial Committee, the Morrinsville Borough Council has resolved to donate £100 toward the cost of a memorial to those soldiers who left the Morrinsville district and were killed at the front.. It was esti- • mated that the memorial would cost £1500, and of this sum £1100 had been collected and a further £300 had been promised. It was stated that the memorial would probably be unveiled by tbi Governor-General in April next.
