Dec. 12. ' ■ Sir James Craig. Premier of Ulster, addressing the Northern Irish Parliament today, said he had never previously con-' .fronted such a complicated situation as the signature of tbe treaty between Britain and Sinn Fein had created. "We are not included in it," he went on, " and ve are not invited to sign it. Without jf|! . o j n g into details I must confess that the treaty has n °t carried out Mr. Lloyd George's solemn pledges that Ulster's rights would not be prejudiced or sacri- -: , ficed." 'Sir James advised .the members, how- , ever strongly they felt on the subject, not to act > n an y unconstitutional manner, leaving their interests in the hands of their representatives in the Imperial Parliament They felt principally two points, ■ finance and the Boundary Commission. : 'He hoped that the people of Ulster would maintain a dignified attitude, calm ,if courage and hopeful optimism, trusting their leaders. Ulster was determined to 6 tand by the ideals she had always mapped out She would not swerve an inch from them. Ulster was only anxious i to remain a part and parcel of Britain I . and the Empire.
