CANDIDATE FOR THE SEAT. Only one candidate is 'in the field "at present for the vacancy on the' City Council cjeated by the recent death of,the Hon. P. J. Nerheny; ML.C. This is Mr. E. W. Inder, whose candidature the Progressive Citizens' Election Committee yesterday .decided to support. Mr. Ind<jr stood for election to the council last April, but was among those" who were; defeated, though he received the largest number-of votes of any of these. .', - Nominations in connection with the will dose to-morrow at noon with the registrar of electors, Mr. P. F. Notlev at the Town HaU. Should an election be rendered necessary by more than one aspirant standing it will be held to-morrow week. ' " !
