DEATH OF KUTCHIK KHAN. BODY FOUND IN MOUNTAINS. Australian-and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 12.30 a.m.) TEHERAN. Dec. 10. Persian troops discovered the dead body of Kutchik Khan in a mountain pass near Resht. Thus Persia is rid of a dangerous rebel. In 1918 Kutchik Khan occupied Resht and barred the way to a relief force en route to Baku until British troops, from Mesopotamia retook the town. In 1920 Kutchik joined an invading Bolshevik force from Baku, which proclaimed an independent republic in Persia. He defied the authorities, and held Resht, and Enzeli until the Gdveriiment forces 1 recaptured the towns.
