Haymaking operations have commenced, and already a number of stacks are to be seen in .the country areas. Light, rain fell tills morning, which will be beneficial to the maize crop. A very successful garden party was held at The Elms, and resulted in raising £62 5s in aid of the Banardo Homes, making a total of over £1500 found by Tauranga since this work was taken up by workers at The Elms in 1892.
