STRAWBERRIES AT THE SHOW.
THE PRIZE-WINNERS. The exhibits of strawberries at the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Society's Show were exceedingly fine, and tho valuable prizes offered enticed the leading' growers to compete. Tlio class for the best crate of Marguerites was the feuture of the show. There were ten entries, the winning crate excelling in size, colour, and sheen. The following were the winners Marguerites: W. 11. Tonar, 1; A. Geddes, 2; •H. L. Matthews, 3. Best plate of Marguerites: W. H. Tonar, 1; H. L. Matthews, 2; M. Parrish and Sons, 3. Duke of Edinburgh: W. H. Tonar, 1 and 2. The first prize fot 1 New Zealand-grown lemons was won by J. Greenwood, Henderson.
