I NUMBER OP MINOR OASES. , A numbei 8 of rr>inor cases were dealt s with by Mr. J. W, Poynton, S.M., in I the Police Court on Saturday. J A young man, George David Cargill e (Mr. Singer) admitted having aiisaulted '• Robert Vernie Gault. It was stated that 0 accused had been followed and annoyed {j by complainant. In the end he lost his temper and struck him. A fine of £1 0 and costs was imposed. !' The use of obscene language in Queen e Street on Friday morning was denied , by David Taylor (Mr. Singer). A conii stable stated that when he wsa on point { duty at Wellesley Street accused asked * him from which point the Onehunga trams s left. Witness told him,, but. accused e returned in a few minutes and said the constable was wrong. After arguing the 7 point, accused, used the language com- ■• plained of. The magistrate said it was 1 not very bad language. Accused was con- ' victed and discharged.
