CHRISTIANS OF CILICIA.

The French evacuation of £ilicia is apparently in full swing. It is reported from Constantinople that Turkish troops entered Adana on November 29, and that over 20.000 Christians, fearing to trust themselves to the mercy of the Turkish Nationalist Government, fled before their arrival. A message from Alexandria states that a strange deadlock has arisen regarding 348 Armenian refugees aboard a French steamer that arrived from Cilicia, who have been refused permission to land. Unwilling to leave on the French boat, fearing that it would return to Cilicia, some of the refugees drew revolvers and threatened the crew and hindered work in the engineroom. The matter is in the hands of the French authorities. The Armenians declare that they will remain I on the ship for evermore in harbonr unless they are enabled to leave on a ship not controlled by the French. I =
