THE AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. ' The third round of the Auckland Criokct J Association's Club championships will bo played this afternoon. The grounds are now in good order, and, with fast wickets and keen outfields, bright and interesting cricket Bhould bo witnessed. Two senior grade matches will be played at Eden Park, Eden A meeting Eden B on No. 1 wicket, and Ponsonby meeting Y.M.C.A- on No. 2 wicket. The contest between Eden A and Eden B should be interesting in view of the latter's good showing against University last week, while Poneonby will have n. chance of retrieving its honours against Y.M.C.A. The Grafton and North Snore match, to be played at North Shore, should provide a good game, and sound cricket may !» expected. Another interesting raateh in that of Parnell and University, which hits been drawn for the Remuera ground, whero the wicket is true and the outfield fast. University put up a good fight in the second innings of the match against Eden B last week, but has yet to show its true form, which the contest against Farnell may reveal to-day. The junior games should furnish interesting gamos, and with line weather and fast cricket some good performances may be registered. , , In the draw for the recond grade matches to be played to-day Grammar B is to play University B at Remuera. TEAMS FOR TODAY. The following teamß have been selected to represent the University Club in the second grade matches to be played at the Remuera ground to-day:—' A Section. - Speight, Fawcett, Wylie, Hookin, Fisher. Tho following matches under the auspices of tha Churches' Association have been arranged for Stephen's v. St. Matthews, Victoria Park: St. James A v. St Aidan's. Domain; St. James B v. Richmond. Victoria Park; St Peters v. W.Y-M.1.. Victoria Park; St. Lukes, a bye.
