TO-DAY'S FOREOABT. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Govcrnmont meteorologist reported last night as follows:—Present indications are for variable winds, moderate to strong south-easterlies prevailing northwards of Kawhia and East Cape and freshening nortlierlies soon elsewhere. The weather will be warm and humid, with haze and cloudiness increasing, and a change to unsettled conditions following soon. The barometer h/is a falling tendency. MR. C. L. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr, Clement L. Wragge at seven o'clock last evening:—The pressure is inclined to relax in the South as the new disturbance Guleth comes up, causing showery conditions. Matters are better in the North under moderately high pressure. More rainy weather will probably follow later, possibly affecting northern districts early next week. Winds between south-west and north-west backing northerly and freshening. Sea moderate, later rising on the West Coast. YESTERDAY'S WEATHER. Rainfall in City for 24 hours ended midnight, Deo. 2 (Herald gauge) .OOin. The following official report was issued at 4 p.m. yesterday: —
