CORONER'S COMMENTS. CONDUCT OF NEARBY PEOPLE. [BY TELEGRAPH.— press association.] NELSON. Wednesday. The inquest concerning the death of , Edward Burton, a 13-year-old boy, who was drowned while surf-bathing at Tahma on November 19, was concluded to-day. A verdict of accidental drowning was returned, no blame being attachable to anybody. The coroner, Mr. J. S. Evans, • S.M., highly commended the action of Oliver Burton; an 11-year-old lad, who 1 was bathing with deceased, and who made strenuous efforts to save him. The ' coroner added that appalling indifference ' or unaccountable ignorance had been • shown by several other persons, who were • at or near the scene of the fatality, not, > however, amounting to criminal negligence.
