TRUST ESTATE TROUBLES.
FURTHER LITIGATION. An action which, it was stated, was originally brought two years ago, and had already involved about a score of judgments, motions, and summonses, came before Mr. Justice Stringer in Ice Supreme Court yesterday, 'lhe case was that of Furness versus the Public Trustee, ..an action for accounts in respect of a trust estate administered by tho Public Trustee. The action before the Court was an application to set aside a large number of findings made- by the registrar, who had sat to take accounts and had embodied the result in a formal icport. Objection was taken to the registrar's (hidings in a large number of items, amounting in all to about £1000. Dr. Fitchett appeared' for the Public Trustee, as objecting to the registrar's report, and Mr. Richmond for the plaintiffs, to sustain the figures in the report. After taking evidence on the matter on similar lines to that already given before the registrar, His Honor confirmed the whole of the registrar's findings except in respect of certain items of-interest, in which tho amount allowed by .the registrar was. increased,., : .'"• •• •_.
