THE DIOCESAN SYNOD.

SPECIAL CHURCH SERVICES.

BUSINESS RESUMES TO-DAY.

The session of the Auckland Anglican Diocesan Synod, which was adjourned on Friday evening, will be resumed this afternoon.

On Saturday afternoon the members of the synod and their friends were the guests of the Bishop, Dr. A. W. Averill, and Mrs. Averill, at an " At Home " at Bishopscourt. Special services were held in the Anglican churches yesterday, many of the pulpits being occupied by visiting clergymen. A number of important questions will be discussed by the synod, these including the League of Nations, Church reunion, the recent amendments to the divorce laws and the position of women in the Church.
