RETIREMENT OF JUDGES.
PROTEST IN QUEENSLAND. A. and N.Z. BRISBANE. Sept. 29.' Judge Real appeared at the Bar of the : House of Assembly to protest against a' Bill compelling Judges to retire at the ago of 70, claiming that the threatened deprivation of rights upon which Judges i accepted appointment would be unfair and unjust. He had sacrificed £100,000 " by accepting the post of Supreme Court Judge. .. _ . '
