SOLICITOR'S ACCOUNTS.
LAW SOCIETY'S ACTION. REMOVAL FROM ROLL ASKED. The motion by the Auckland LawSociety (Mr. Bagnall), that the name of Francis J.. lipping, solicitor, Auckland (Mr. Wyatt), be struck off the roll of barristers and solicitors, came before Mr. Justice Adams 'again in the Supremo Court yesterday.
In an affidavit Tipping said it was his custom to pay all moneys, trust and costs, into his trust account, afterwards drawing a cheque for costs and paying it into his costs account. On or about February 15, 1921, he received a cheque for £600 from the Crown for a loan to J. Wright, which amount he paid into his trust account with the Bank of Australasia, and he acted similarly in regard to a cheque for £500 which he received on February 25, 1921, from the Crown for a loan to A. C. Kerr. Since February 25 ha had not paid any further trust monfeys into his trust account, and had not carried on practice since about the end of February. The shortage of £9 10s referred to by Mr. Meredith in his letter to the Law Society was caused through him drawing several cheques for costs without first ascertaining what his bank baalnce was. Mr. Bagnall saici he had received a communication from the Southland Law Society, and he felt he should hear more from it. He accordingly applied for an adjournment for 1,4 days. * Mr. Wyatt agreed to the postponement, and the case was adjourned untile October 6. '
