WAGES FOR PLASTERERS.
AUCKLAND RATES AS BASIS.
The award of the Court of Arbitration in the case of the Wellington plasterers has been filed. Mr. Justice Frazer states that the award, with some slight modifications, mostly verbal, embodies the recommendations of the Conciliation Council, which the parties agreed to accept. It was agreed by the parties that- if the Court should ruse the flat rate of plasterers' wages at Auckland, then the flat rate at Wellington should be automatically raised to the same level. The Court reserves the right to amend the wages clause of the Wellington award in accordance with any alteration in the Auckland rates, and* to provide that any such amendment shall be retrospective to the date on which any increase at Auckland becomes effective.
