TO-DAY'S FORECAST. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last night as follows:— Present indications are for easterly winds, stror 1 to gale,, northward . of Kawhia and East Gape; strong and variable winds elsewhere, with north-easterlies to south-easterlies ruling. Unsettled, ■cloudy, misty weather should be expected, with rain ii» the Northern and East Coast districts. The barometer has a falling tendency, particularly in the North. MR. C. L. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 7.30 o'clock last evening —A small tropical depression, of which there was no indication yesterday, ha« suddenly developed •north-north-west from Hokianga, while the high pressure has made south-easting. This distribution of atmosphere now implies squally and cloudy weather, with some rain, from between east-north-east and north, later veering westerly, with intervals of clearing skies over the northern half of the North Island. Elsewhere conditions should be fair to.cloudy, with a change following later, as a new Antarctic disturbance, named Botha, comes up. Rising seas, with decrease of latitude.
